With Widerøe you can fly directly to Stavanger from Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Sandefjord.

Stavanger Airport

Stavanger Airport (SVG) is located about 15 kilometres from Stavanger city centre and has a single terminal for departures and arrivals. The journey from the airport to the city centre takes around 15–20 minutes by car, taxi or bus.

Why travel to Stavanger?

Stavanger offers great experiences both in the heart of the city and just outside it. The charming city centre is perfect for walks among wooden houses, cosy cafés and small shops, especially in colourful Fargegata, which adds a vibrant feel to the area. The city is also known for its food and cultural scene, with Michelin-listed restaurants and a reputation as Norway’s street art capital.

Just outside the city, world-class nature experiences await. Pulpit Rock, Preikestolen, rises 604 metres above Lysefjord and offers one of Norway’s most spectacular views, whether you hike to the top or see it from the fjord on a cruise. Lysefjord also features highlights such as Hengjanefossen waterfall and Kjerag.

Along the coast, you’ll find the Jæren beaches with long stretches of white sand and excellent conditions for surfing, kitesurfing, swimming and cycling. Together with attractions like Kongeparken, the Norwegian Petroleum Museum and Flor & Fjære, Stavanger is a place with something for everyone.
